May Flowers

I started my job today! For the first few weeks, I'll be selling products from here. It was clear today that the people I work for consider this a ministry, first and foremost. They pray that their products result in lives transformed for Christ. If I know you...and you work for a church...I'll probably be calling you to test out my selling strategy.

Also today, I received a gift in the mail from a friend and co-worker. He knew I was in need and just sent something...no strings attached. It was a beautiful and selfless act on his part. I thanked him for being open to what God had put on his heart. It reminded me of a sermon I helped one of my youth group kids put together for a youth-led service the other day. After talking through his topic, we settled on a closing thought that summed it all up: if you're out there praying for people in need, whether homeless or grief-stricken or just in need of a friend, remember they're probably praying that God would provide a way to meet that need. You could be the answer to that prayer.
